Virtual & In-Person Occupational Therapy Assessment

I use questionnaires and interviews with the parent(s) and child to determine the child’s strengths and challenges with handwriting and typing. Using thorough clinical observation skills, I assess fine motor, visual motor integration, printing, typing, and familiarity of Read & Write Google. Upon request and written consent from the parent(s), I collaborate with school staff, speech language pathologists, and optometrists.

Virtual & In-Person Individual Occupational Therapy

I customize individual therapy sessions to work on fine motor, visual motor, printing, typing, voice output, text-to-voice, and word prediction skills using evidence-based strategies and a blend of treatment approaches to best fit the strengths and needs of each child. I use the Read & Write literacy support tool to help kids with reading, writing and accessing curriculum. I use Do It Yourself (DIY) hands-on fine motor kits, sensory pathways, multi-sensory activities and games to move, play and learn during therapy.

Occupational Therapy Reports

Occupational therapy reports are available upon request from the parent(s) and may include a Special Equipment Amount (SEA) Claim for a Chromebook through the child’s school and recommendations for written output accommodations to help the child access the Ontario curriculum. There is an additional fee for this service.
